FROM THE RETIREES' CLUB
All of the members who are retiring can have a very good time for only $12.00 a year for a membership in our club. For only $12.00 a year -you can eat and drink that much in donuts and coffee.

Nothing much has changed since the last writing. We are still bowling on Monday mornings at Expo Bowl at 10:00 a.m. There is no league - just come when you are free and feel like having fun.

The meetings for the club are the 2nd Thursday of each month at the hall at 10:00 a.m.
On the evening of the meeting days we have a pitch-in dinner at 6:00 p.m. followed by 10 games of euchre.

IBEW Founders' Scholarship
The IBEW Founders' Scholarships honor the dedicated wiremen and linemen who, on November 28, 1891, organized the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Each year the officers of IBEW are pleased to offer its working members scholarships on a competitive basis. It is hoped that the awards will not only contribute to the personal development of our memebers but also steward the electrical industry that our founders envisioned.

The IBEW Founders' Scholarship is for IBEW members who have been in continuous good standing for the four years preceding May 1 of the scholarship year. If a member has been on honorary withdrawal at any time during the aforementioned period he/she will not be eligible to participate. The scholarship is not for spouses or children of IBEW members.

You may obtain a copy of the application, which is due May 1, 2008 for the next scholarship year by coming to the Union Hall office, 1828 N. Meridian Street, Suite 205, during regular business hours. You may also visit the IBEW Web site at www.ibew.org for more information and a printable application.

Please take advantage of the IBEW Founders' Scholarship Program.

The IBEW Founders' Scholarship is not for the spouses or children of IBEW members. Union Plus has a scholarship that is for available for IBEW members, as well as members' spouses and dependent children. The deadline for the Union Plus Scholarship is January 31, 2008.
